  • A Mamaroneck Avenue building that was about to be demolished collapsed Tuesday, causing police and fire  departments to rush to the scene. Nobody was inside the building at the time, and there were no injuries. 
  • There were 11 runners from Mamaroneck and Larchmont who participated in Monday's Boston Marathon, nine of whom finished before the blasts. Larchmont's Karen Frum said she heard the explosion from a block away after she crossed the finish line. "Nobody around me panicked and I didn't panic either because I just thought it was some fireworks gone wrong or something," she said.
