Town Child Says Money Missing From Backpack

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- A child discovered $20 missing from his backpack while he was at Flint Park. His father, a town resident, reported the larceny Nov. 4.

The following incidents were also reported in the Larchmont Police Department blotter from Oct. 29 to Nov. 5.

Vehicle and Traffic Law Arrest: A Bronx man was arrested on Oct. 30 and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed operating his vehicle on Boston Post Road and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator was released on his own recognizance.

Identity Theft: A Helena Avenue resident reported on Nov. 1 that several purchases were made in her name at a North Carolina K-Mart.

Lost Property: A Rye Brook resident reported on Nov. 1 that on Oct. 26 she lost a ring valued at $8,000 while in the parking lot of a Boston Post Road establishment.

Vehicle and Traffic Law Arrest: A Harrison man was arrested on Nov. 4 and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed operating his vehicle on Beach Avenue and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator was released on $250 bail.

Larchmont Police Officers also responded to 16 burglar alarms, 10 motor vehicle accidents, 10 aided cases and 92 other calls for service.
