PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Motorists planning on traveling through Port Chester over the weekend can expect delays as the village celebrates the Fiesta Patronal de la Virgen Asuncion.
Beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a procession for the celebration, prompting the Port Chester Police Department to issue an alert to locals warning that traffic may be tied up in the area of Poningo Street and Seymour Road.
The process is scheduled to end at St. Peter’s Church no later than 7 p.m.
During the procession, Poningo Street will be closed, as well as a portion of Westchester Avenue until the marchers arrive at St. Peter’s.
