MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department on Saturday arresred Maximillian Conley Kvetan, 29, of Las Vegas, Nev., in connection with the robbery Friday at the Chase Bank. .
Police, with the help of the Department of Public Safety and State Police, arrested the suspect and recovered the $5,308.00 stolen from the Chase branch on the corner of Mamaroneck Avenue and Boston Post Road within seven hours of the emergency 911 call, according to police records
They have charged the suspect with third-degree robbery and third-degree possession of stolen property. He is being held by vilalge police pending an arraignment.
The suspect entered the building at 101 Mamaroneck Ave. at about 12:31 Friday and presented a note to the teller demanding money. The unarmed suspect fled the bank on foot before local and state police arrived, according to the press release.
There were no injuries, according to the press release.
Police secured the bank and established a perimeter, blocking off traffic along Mamaroneck Avenue between Boston Post Road and Prospect Avenue for most of the afternoon.
