  • Walter’s hot dog stand ranked 15th in The Daily Meal’s recent list of America’s 35 Best Hot Dogs, the latest of dozens of accolades for the historical landmark. 
  • Larchmont resident Kate Bialo was named a 2013 state Senate Woman of Distinction Tuesday for her work as founder and executive director of the Furniture Sharehouse in White Plains, state Sen. George Latimer announced Tuesday. 
  • The Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force celebrated its 20th anniversary by mobilizing 100 of its volunteers to distribute groceries to about 1,200 people this week.
