The Weaver Street Bridge will close June 3 when the state Department of Transportation (DOT) replaces its deck, curbs, sidewalks and fencing. It will be closed to vehicular traffic until at least July 24. The DOT chose the Weaver Street Bridge for this program because it was in a deteriorated condition and needs replacement.
An 84-year-old man had a stroke while driving on Myrtle Boulevard in Larchmont on Tuesday and crashed into a parked car. The parked car was unoccupied.
Olivier Famby pleaded guilty in county court Friday to eight armed robberies throughout lower Westchester County in early 2012, including two in Mamaroneck. Famby will be sentenced July 16. He faces a maximum of 25 years in state prison.
