The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Westchester residents regarding 61-year-old Mark Bernardini, a former therapist, who reported a move from Valhalla to a residence on Hudson Street in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Bernardini as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent offender.

Bernardini pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with two of his patients, a 13-year-old boy and 19-year-old girl, in January 2014. He was sentenced to five years in state prison following his guilty plea. Bernardini is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
