What to Do in Larchmont This Weekend

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- For residents looking for some fun family activities this weekend, here are a few events to consider. 

Friday

  • All Mamaroneck basketball teams will be in action Friday. The junior varsity and varsity boys will take on Scarsdale's respective teams in away games at 4:15 p.m. The varsity girls will host Scarsdale in the Post Road gym, also at 4:15 p.m., and the junior varsity girls will host Scarsdale at 6 p.m. in the Palmer Gym. The Modified Black girls will host New Rochelle in the Post Road Gym at 4:15 p.m. and the Modified boys will face Eastchester at the Eastchester Middle School at 4:15 p.m.
  • Young Adult author Melissa Kantor will read from her second book in the popular Darlings series, “Boys come and go, but the Darlings are still forever” at the Voracious Reader in Larchmont. Kantor will also do a signing. The even is for ages 12 and up.

Saturday

  • The Westchester Camp Fair at the Mamaroneck High School will help parents find the perfect summer camp for their children. The fair is open from noon to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, Mamaroneck's varsity ice hockey team will take on Mahopac at the Hommocks Ice Rink at 8:15 p.m.

Sunday

  • Lucia Greenhouse will read from her book “Fathermothergod: my journey out of Christian Science” Sunday at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served beginning at 3:30pm. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library.
