What To Do In Mamaroneck And Larchmont This Week

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Property tax day in the Village of Mamaroneck, a book club meeting at the library and stories and crafts for young children are a few of the events happening in Mamaroneck and Larchmont this holiday week.

Monday, Dec. 31

Mamaroneck Village offices are closed , along with the Mamaroneck and Larchmont libraries on New Year’s Eve.

Mass at St. Augustine’s Parish : 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve Mass will be at 5 p.m. at the church, 18 Cherry Ave.

New Year’s Vigil at St. Vito’s : 5 p.m. St. Vito’s will have a New Year’s Vigil in English, along with its daily Mass in English at 8 a.m. St. Vito’s, 826 Underhill Ave., Village of Mamaroneck

Tuesday, Jan. 1

Mamaroneck village and town offices are closed, along with both the Mamaroneck and Larchmont post offices and libraries.

Mass at St. Augustine’s Parish : 9 a.m. New Year’s Day mass will be  at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon. There will be no evening Mass. St. Augustine’s Church, 18 Cherry Ave, Larchmont.

Mass At St. Vito’s : 9 a.m. A Mass in English will be at the church, 826 Underhill Ave., Mamaroneck.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

Village of Mamaroneck Property Taxes Due : 9 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Village property taxes are due Wednesday. If you cannot pay in person, your payment will be accepted if it is postmarked before Wednesday.

Stranger Than Fiction Book Club : 7 p.m. Join Librarian Liam Hegarty to discuss Mark Kurlansky's "Salt: a World History." Copies of the book are available now on the Book Group Shelf in the Reference Room. Larchmont Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Thursday, Jan. 3

Stories and Tales : 10:30 a.m. Help foster your child’s interest in literacy through stories and tales. This program is for children ages 3-4 and doesn't require registration. A parent or caregiver must attend. Larchmont Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Stories ‘n’ More : 4 p.m. Children ages 5-7 can do a craft and read a story. Registration is not required. Larchmont Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.
