MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Residents will have several chances to get involved in their local government this week.

Monday

The Village Board of Trustees will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. in the Regatta Conference Room, where it will receive a report from Joe Russo, harbormaster, on potential increases to service fees, which would help fund repairs to the West Basin seawall. The board will also discuss the Village's Environmental Protection Agency grant, which includes improving drainage on Beach Avenue to reduce basement flooding in 19 homes from Brook Avenue to Pine Avenue. The village must match the $489,000 grant 55 to 45 percent with approximately $400,000. Approximately $200,000 of that would go toward funding those drainage improvements.
