What's Happening in Larchmont This Weekend

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- The Semi-Royal Shakespeare Company returning for its 38th year of performances, the Green Screen Film Festival and the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Antiques Show are just some of the events going on in Larchmont this weekend. 

Friday

Rotary Club of Larchmont: 12:15 p.m. The Rotary Club of Larchmont meets every Friday at the Larchmont Yacht Club to discuss local issues.

"Merry Wives of Windsor": 8 p.m. The Semi-Royal Shakespeare Company returns for its 38th consecutive year. The company of Mamaroneck High School students will also perform in the Hommocks Middle School Auditorium Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased in advance or at the door, subject to availability. Saturday

Mamaroneck Indoor Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 168 W. Boston Post Road.

Antiques Fair: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annual antiques fair will be held in the Post Road gym, and part of the proceeds will benefit the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation. The door fee is $6.

Green Screen Film Festival Double Feature: 1 p.m. “Extreme Ice: Stunning Adventure Photography, Melting Glaciers” will be shown at the Mamaroneck Library at 1 p.m. Immediately following it will be “Flow: For the Love of Water” at 2 p.m. Following the two films, Elizabeth Royte, author of “Bottlemania: How Water Went on Sale and How We Bought It,” and Paul Gallay, executive director of Riverkeeper, will speak.

Mimi Stevens Solo Exhibit Reception: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Mamaroneck Artists Guild will hold a reception for the current exhibit by Mimi Stevens, "Paintings 2001-2012." The exhibit will be up from March 6 to March 24. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. The Mamaroneck Artists Guild is on 126 Larchmont Ave.

"Richard III": 8 p.m. The Semi-Royal Shakespeare Company returns for a 38th consecutive year. There will also be a performance on Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased in advance or at the door, subject to availability. Green Screen Film Festival: 2 p.m. “Gasland” will be shown at the Larchmont Village Center at 2 p.m. Paul Gallay, president of Riverkeeper, will talk about the practice of "fracking."
