What's Happening in Larchmont This Weekend

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- A county-wide high school jazz festival, a furniture drive and the inaugural Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade are just a few of the events going on in Larchmont this weekend.

Friday

Rotary Club of Larchmont Luncheon: 12:15 p.m. The Rotary Club of Larchmont meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at the Larchmont Shore Club. Lunch is $20.

Toddler Tunes with Robert the Guitar Guy: 2:15 p.m. Award-winning musician Robert Markowitz will perform for children, ages 2 to 4, at the Larchmont Library. Register in person or by calling (914) 834–2281. Larchmont Library, 120 Larchmont Ave.

All County High School Jazz Festival: 8 p.m. Students from across the county, including seven from Mamaroneck High School, will perform together in the annual festival. Mamaroneck and New Rochelle's Jazz Bands will also perform. This is the fifth, and perhaps last, year the event has been held at Mamaroneck High School.

The Emelin Theatre Presents The Roches: 8 p.m. The Roches, a folk band, have recorded 10 albums, and performed all over the U.S. and Europe. As a duo, their performances are thoughtful, funny and moving musical journeys filled with ideas, heart and soul. Grammy award-winning songwriter and performer Julie Gold will open the show. Tickets are $35. The Emelin Theatre is on 153 Library Lane, (914) 698-0098.

Saturday

Furniture Drive: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students from Mamaroneck High School's Furniture Sharehouse Club will host the third annual Furniture Drive. Bring your donations of gently used furniture and household furnishings. Before you load up your car, go to www.furnituresharehouse.org to check on criteria for donations. Mamaroneck High School, 1000 W Boston Post Road. 

Mamaroneck Indoor Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 168 W. Boston Post Road.

Sunday

Inaugural Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade: 12:30 p.m. Mamaroneck will host the first Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade, featuring musicians, dancers, local schools, police, firefighters, pipes and drum bands. The parade will begin by Mamaroneck Avenue School and culminate at Harbor Island. Before the parade, a mass will be held at St. Vito's Church at 9:30 a.m.
