LARCHMONT, N.Y. A fundraiser for the Pine Brook Park renovation, a five-year celebration of the Voracious Reader and the Mamaroneck School District 2012-2013 budget review are just a few of the events going on in Larchmont this weekend.
Friday - Hommocks International Dinner: 7:30 p.m.?This event will be held at the Hommocks Middle School gym.
- Mimi Stevens Solo Exhibit: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.The Mamaroneck Artists Guild features an exhibit by Mimi Stevens, "Paintings 2001-2012." The exhibit will be up from March 6 to March 24. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. The Mamaroneck Artists Guild, 126 Larchmont Ave.- Rotary Club of Larchmont Luncheon: 12:15 p.m.The club meets every Friday for lunch at the Larchmont Yacht Club, 1 Woodbine Ave. Saturday - Mamaroneck School Board Meeting: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.The board of education will go through its 2012-2013 budget line-by-line. The board estimates that from 9-11 a.m. it will review transportation and programs related to teaching and learning. Then from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. it will review all line items related to administration and capital. The meeting will be open to public comment. Mamaroneck High School Tiered Classroom, 1000 W Boston Post Rd.- The Voracious Reader Celebrates Five Years: 10 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.The local book store celebrates its fifth birthday at its Larchmont location with readings and signings by authors Roni Schotter - "All About Grandmas" - and Charise Mericle Harper - "Henry's Heart." Musicians Frank and Andrew of Rollie Polie Guacamole will perform at 2 p.m. Additionally, gifts, prizes and giveaways will be offered all day (10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), as well as cake.- Pine Brook Park Family Fundraiser: 2 p.m.- 4 p.m.The Pine Brook Park neighborhood association will hold a benefit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to raise money for the renovation of the Pine Brook Park.
