Celebrate our Flag in Needlepoint: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stitch by Stitch owners Betty Scanlon and Madalena Bruno present their "Patchwork of Peace" at the Larchmont Library. The piece is 247 one-inch squares and completes the needlepoint flag project on display in the Oresman Gallery. Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

The Beauty of Larchmont: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An award-winning photographer with more than 35 years of experience will display some his photos at the library. John Lewison’s works include people and landscape images in both color and black & white. Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Fridays with Franklin: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Children can visit the Voracious Reader bookstore and read to Franklin, the kid-friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. 1997 Palmer Ave., Larchmont.

Beaches are open: With the prediction for nice weather, the Harbor Island Beach will be open and staffed for swimming.

Larchmont Farmers' Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shop for farm–to-market fruits and vegetables, meats and artisanal prepared foods. Larchmont Farmers Market, south end of the Metro-North parking lot on Myrtle Avenue.

Father’s Day at The Voracious Reader:3 p.m. A special Father’s Day celebration with some of Daddy’s favorite reads. Make a special Father’s Day card. Best for ages 4 to 9. 1997 Palmer Ave., Larchmont.
