MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Residents interested in getting involved with their local government will have that opportunity this week.
The Village Board of Trustees will meet in the Court Room at 7:30 p.m. The board will hear from Jim Killoran, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester, whose organization was involved in the clean-up after Tropical Storm Irene. As part of the village's Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) update process, the board will discuss changes to the Village Code Chapter 240 based on a model Waterfront Consistency Review Law developed by the Department of State. Under new business, the board will schedule a public hearing for Oct. 11 on the Village of Mamaroneck Comprehensive Plan Update ( item 5a ), and authorize a $50,000 grant from the New York State Dormitory Authority to help offset the costs of decorative street lamps at three intersections on Mamaroneck Avenue ( item 5b ) at a total cost of $54,824. The Village Council of the Arts will meet at the Pavilion at Harbor Island Park at 7:30 p.m.
The Town Recreation Committee will meet will meet at 7:30 p.m.
The Town Traffic Committee will meet in the Courtroom at 8 p.m.
The Town Planning Board will meet in Conference Room C at 8:p.m. and will consider a site improvement to wetlands and water course at Bonnie Briar Country Club.
The Village Board of Architectural Review will meet in the Courtroom at 7:30 p.m.
