What's on the Agenda in Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Residents flocked to Village Hall to voice their frustration over the response to Tropical Storm Irene. Here is a look at what will be discussed this week.

Monday

The village Board of Trustees will hold a work session in the Regatta conference room at 5:30 p.m. The board plans to take action on an accounting amendment that will reflect the roughly $15.5 million the village borrowed for the Mamaroneck Library renovation. They will also discuss whether or not to sell the old Hook and Ladder firehouse, which hasn't been sold because the market has been low. The board agreed to sell it as a surplus property to offset the costs of the new firehouse. The full agenda is available here.

The village Tree Committee will meet in the Courtroom at 4:15 p.m.

The village Budget Committee will meet in the Courtroom at 7:15 p.m.

The town Board of Architectural Review will meet in Conference Room C at 8 p.m.

Tuesday

The village Committee for the Environment will meet in the Courtroom at 8 p.m.

Wednesday

The village Harbor and Coastal-Zone Management committee will meet in the Courtroom at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the activities of the Local Water-Front Revitalization Program update committee.

The Town Board will hold a work session in Conference Room A at 5:30, followed by their regular meeting in the Courtroom at 8 p.m. The board will hold a premlinary discussion during their work session on the 2012 budget - a public hearing will be held in December. During their regular meeting, the board will seek authorization to amend the property revaluation capital project from the anticipated cost of $3 million to the actual cost $1.3 million.
