MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Residents will have plenty of opportunities to get involved in their local government this week.
The Village Tree Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Regatta Conference Room
The Village Board of Trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. for its annual organizational meeting at the Emelin Theater. Mayor Norman Rosenblum and Trustee Louis Santoro will be sworn in for their second terms, and the deputy mayor will be appointed. Ronsenblum choose Santoro as his deputy mayor for his previous term. The Town Zoning Board will meet at 7:45 p.m. in Conference Room C to consider seven applications. Two of those applications involve a request for a variance to legalize an existing fourth and fifth apartment in a legal three family residence on 38 Lester Pl. and an existing fifth apartment in a legal four family residence on 30 Lester Pl. The town Board will hold a work session at 5 p.m. in Conference Room A, followed by its regular meeting at 8 p.m. in the Courtroom. It will hold public hearings on the 2012 Town Budget , overriding the property tax cap by 0.80 percent , the preliminary budget for the 2012 Fire District No. 1 and the correction of Local Law No. 7 2010 .
The village Council of the Arts will meet at 7 p.m. in the Mamaroneck Library's All Purpose Room.
The Village Ethics Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom.
The Village Board of Traffic Commissioners will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom.
