MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Here's a list of public places that will be open or closed on Labor Day in Mamaroneck and Larchmont.

Mamaroneck Village

Open:

  • Stephen E. Johnston Beach and Spray Pool

Closed:

  • Post office
  • Village Hall at the Regatta
  • Village Court
  • Mamaroneck Public Library

Garabage pickup will occur on Thursday only.

Mamaroneck Town and Larchmont

Open:

  • Hommocks Pool

Closed:

  • Larchmont post office
  • Larchmont Village Hall
  • Mamaroneck Town Hall
  • Mamaroneck Town Court
  • Larchmont Village Court
  • Larchmont Public Library

Garbage pickup will be skipped on Monday. Those with Monday pickup will have only one pickup this week, on Thursday.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Two lanes southbound on the Saw Mill River Parkway were blocked Tuesday evening due to a multiple car accident on just south of Exit 20 near the I-287 in Elmsford.

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. - The National Weather Service posted a thunderstorm warning for southern Westchester County at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The storms could be accompanied by lightning, hail and high winds of up to 50 mph, the weather service said.
