WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Westchester County residents could see between 4 and 8 inches of snow Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, creating travel nightmares for those en route to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for 7 a.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday.

The weather forecast calls for a mixture of rain and snow for Wednesday morning. National Weather Service officials estimate all precipitation will be snow by noon that will significantly impact holiday travel and make driving dangerous at times. Snow should taper off around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Though the actual temperature might not fall below freezing, the forecast calls for wind chills as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thanksgiving Day should have cloudy skies and a high around 38.
