Yonkers Detectives Gave False Testimony In Drug Case, DA Says

YONKERS, N.Y. – Westchester County officials have acknowledged that Yonkers detectives gave false testimony in a 2012 drug case that led to a Peekskill man being sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to lohud.com.

The Westchester County District Attorney's Office said Jamar Smythe 34, should have his conviction thrown out because two Yonkers detectives lied at his trial, lohud.com reported.

Smythe is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, and could be released in light of the new information, according to lohud.com.
