Retired Police Officer Who Served In Westchester For Decades Dies A police department in Northern Westchester is mourning the loss of a retired officer who served communities in the Hudson Valley for decades.  The Peekskill Police Department announced the death of retired officer John Lynch on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in a post on social media.  According to the department, Lynch served with both the Beacon and Peekskill Police Departments for almost 25 years between the 1960s and 1980s.
