August Lindine, 82, Former Longtime Mamaroneck Resident

TRUMBULL. Conn. - August (Gus) Lindine of Trumbull, formerly of Harrison and Mamaroneck,  died May 6. He was 82.

Lindine was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Port Chester, N.Y., he was a son of August and Frances Sposato Lindine. He grew up in Harrison, N.Y., and was a longtime resident of Mamaroneck before settling in Trumbull. Before his retirement he was the proprietor and operator of Lindine Construction Corp. for many years, a family business he owned with his brothers. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was in the Construction Battalion (Sea Bee's) during the Korean War.

Lindine is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; children, Gus Lindine (Linda), Fran Henning (Scott), James Lindine (Jennifer) and Carrie Smalley (Richard); eight grandchildren; brother, Frank Lindine (Gloria); brother-in-law, James Chiappetta (Alice); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Angelo and George Lindine.

Calling hours are Friday, May 9 from 11 a.m. until the time of service and the funeral will leave at 12 p.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Burial in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
