MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Blanche Tagliaferri, of Mamaroneck, passed away Aug. 10 at age 89.
She was born in Paris, France on October 27, 1925 to Oreste and Laura Maria Codeghini. In Paris, Blanche was a dressmaker and designer extraordinaire. She outfitted many stars and celebrities.
At age 25 she came to the US and later worked for Hattie Carnegie, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
She is survived by her children Albert Tagliaferri (Audrey) and Carol Gualano (Eligio) and grandchildren of Raymond, Michael, AJ, Luke, Jake and Christopher. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
To honor her life, family and friends will gather on Wednesday Aug. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's RC Church in Larchmont followed by entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
