MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Dante Nigro of Mamaroneck and formerly of New Rochelle, died Nov. 25. He was 85.
Nigro was born March 16, 1928, to Salvatore and Anna Nigro. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the proprietor of Dan’s Delights in New Rochelle.
Nigro is survived by his wife, Catherine (Lofaro); children, Steven Nigro (Eileen), Diane Lantz (William) and Susan Keller (Eugene); sisters, Margaret Centrone and Clara Preiato; and nine grandchildren.
Calling hours are Nov. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home , 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, NY 10543 (914) 698-5968. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Holy Name of Jesus, Lispenard Ave., New Rochelle, NY. Interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery, North St., Rye, NY, 10580.
