LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Elaine Bowerman, of Larchmont, died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 10. She was 92.
Born Elaine Kolesar in Brezno, Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Mary and Michael Kolesar, she married Robert P. Bowerman on Sept. 4, 1942, in Nutley, N.J.
Married 62 years, her husband predeceased her in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (and her husband, Emilio Martin); her sons, Peter (and his wife, Martha) and Michael (and his wife, Nancy); her grandchildren, Marisa (and her husband, Tony Prinzo), Michael, Kristin (and her husband, Poli Curanaj) and Capt. Ryan Martin; and she was great-grandmother to Ryder, Alayna and Jax.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.
Visiting hours are from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 E. Main St., Elmsford.
