MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Ellen Bent Browne, a resident of Mamaroneck, died Monday, March 14. She was 79.
A resident of Mamaroneck for nearly 20 years, she was born in Marlboro, Mass. Previously, she resided in Rye, where she had raised her children. She was a graduate of Marymount College. She was a member of the 26th Twig of United Hospital and was a longtime member of the Larchmont Shore Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Villalba, of Mamaroneck; her son, Peter Browne and his wife Caroline, of Bernardsville, N.J.; and three grandchildren: Lindsay, Andrew, and Lauren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Austin Browne.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Rye, N.Y.
