LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Eric J. Showers, a longtime resident of Larchmont, died Nov. 3. He was 85.
Showers was born in Chicago, to Robert and Irene. He was a graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka and Williams College. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1953. After his marriage he settled in Larchmont to raise a family. He had a long career on Wall Street in Municipal Bond underwriting and sales. He was a member of the Larchmont Yacht Club for over 40 years and a member of the Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, N.H.
Showers is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Eric B. (Angela), James (Michele), Robert (Abigail) and Andrew (Annmarie); and 10 grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Larchmont. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine's Church.
