Ernie has been our neighbor for 10 years...He was a wonderful thoughtful man and a great friend..His stories of his past were a delight and his gift of friendship a treasure..He would bring home treasures he found at the thrift shop for not only his grandkids but for me and my family...He would make his shepards pie and leave it on our doorstep all wrapped up warm and toasty for us to enjoy for dinner when we would come home from a long day of work..His presence was a huge part of our neighborhood. His wave sent me off most mornings..and his greeting at the end of the day was followed by a have a good night and see you tomorrow...No matter what the weather though he loved it HOT or his health -when you would ask him "How's it goin Ernie???"
his reply..."FANTASTIC !" with that wave of his... Ernie, thanks for being you.....
