Estelle “Pat” Hara, Former Larchmont Boutique Owner, Dies At 87

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Estelle “Pat” Hara, former Larchmont business owner, died Monday, Sept. 14. She was 87.

For more than two decades, Hara owned L. Boutique, a bespoke women’s apparel shop. 

She was born to Louis and Bessie Littman, growing up in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx with her three brothers, Irving, Gilbert, and Julie who all predeceased her. 

Hara was an honors graduate of Christopher Columbus High School and attended New York University. She worked for Equitable Life Insurance Company and subsequently joined her father in business, modeling his apparel designs in major magazines and publications. 

Hara is survived by a son, Mitchell.

She was married to Horace Malinger and later married Albert Hara, who died in 1974. 

A funeral service was held on Friday Sept. 18 at Riverside Memorial Chapel in Manhattan.
