MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Eugene Haviland Sr., 86, passed away July 13, 2015, surrounded by his loving family in the same home where he was born.
Haviland was born Aug. 11, 1928, to Clements and Ellen Haviland, and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Haviland was a painter and tradesman, as well as a union drummer.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette ; his children, Eugene (Sharon), Greg (Violet), Glen (Nancy), Jeff (Meg), Clay (Mary), and Cliff (Joyce). He is also the grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of six. He also is survived by his sister-in-law, Cecelia Haviland and brother-in-law George Brunner.
To honor Haviland's life, family and friends will gather from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.
A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory the Great RC Church, 215 Halstead Ave, Harrison, followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
