Fannie DeSanto, 94, Of Larchmont

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Fannie (Sganga) DeSanto, of Larchmont, died on Monday, Sept. 21. She was 94.

DeSanto was born on Oct. 4, 1920, to Mary (nee Bonomo) and Gabriel Sganga in Larchmont.

She attended Murray Avenue School and graduated from Mamaroneck High School as a member of the National Sport Honor Society.

DeSanto was an active member at Sts. John and Paul Church, serving as a Girl Scouts leader for more than 10 years and as the secretary of the Women's Club.

DeSanto is survived by her daughter Constance Mary Flay and her partner Bobby Perna, three grandchildren, sister Anna M. Sganga, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband David, brother Louis Sganga and sister Pauline Ditore.

Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Sts. John and Paul Church.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
