Florence (Mimi) Musacchio, 95, Larchmont Resident

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Florence (Mimi) Musacchio, 95, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015. A lifelong resident of Larchmont, she came here as a young girl of 7 from Cosenza, Italy.

She attended Murray Avenue School and Mamaroneck Junior and Senior High School. In 1943, she married Capt. John Musacchio, moved to Riverside, Ca. and after WWII, permanently settled in Larchmont.

She worked for many years at Chatsworth Avenue School as a teacher's aide, in the lunchroom, nurse's office and on the playground. In later years, she was a fixture at the Larchmont Playhouse along with her husband and other family members.

She is survived by her son, John Musacchio of Larchmont, daughter Jay Mecca of Portchester and daughter Barbara Cerniglio of Palm Harbor, FL, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her wit and her love of people.

Viewing will take place at the Fox Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be at Saints John and Paul Church on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.
