LARCHMONT, N.Y. - George A. Januzzi, a longtime resident of Larchmont, died Dec. 14. He was 91.
Januzzi was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Mount Vernon, to Vincenzo Ianuzzi and Pasqualina Paladino. He graduated from A B Davis High School in Mount Vernon and served in the United States Army during World War II. He had a 30 year career as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in New Rochelle. During his tenure with the USPS, he served as a union representative to the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Januzzi is survived by his wife, Catherine Lovallo-Januzzi; son, George, Jr. (Dr. JoAnne) of Pleasantville; daughter, Karen (Dr. Sanford) Silverman of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; eight brothers; and two sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at St. Augustine's Church in Larchmont.
