Helen G. Clephane, 100, Longtime Larchmont Resident

LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Helen G. Clephane, a longtime resident of Larchmont, died June 12. She was 100.

Clephane was born in Staten Island to Louis and Mary Johansen. She attended public schools in Staten Island then went on to Cooper Union. Later she received a nursing degree at Flower 5th Ave. Hospital. After marriage she moved with her family to Larchmont in 1942. She was involved in many community activities including, Garden Club, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Larchmont Red Cross, Larchmont Shore Club. She was a communicant at St. Augustine Church.

Clephane is survived by her son, Thomas (Connie); daughter, Suzanne; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Clephane.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. June 26 at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine Church.
