Helen K. Windbiel, 80, Of Larchmont, Young & Rubicam Employee

LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Helen K. Windbiel (nee Kling) of Larchmont died March 24. She was 80.

Windbiel was born Jan. 8, 1933, in Amsterdam, N.Y., to Donald and Katherine Kling. She attended St. Mary’s Institute, Green Mountain College, Vt., and The College of Mount St. Vincent. After her marriage, the family moved to Larchmont in 1969. She worked for Young & Rubicam advertising agency on Madison Avenue where she handled travel expense accounts for the creative department. She remained at Y&R for 18 years.

Windbiel was a parishioner at St. Augustine’s Church. She volunteered for years at soup kitchens in lower Westchester.

Windbiel is survived by her sister, Mary Christine of Marietta, Ga.; sons, Robert (Kimberley), John (Kaori Abe), and Andrew (Sachiko), of New York City and Larchmont; two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 2, 5 to 8 p.m. at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont, N.Y. Funeral Services Wednesday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 18 Cherry Ave., Larchmont, N.Y. Rev. Msgr. Thomas R. Kelly will be officiating. Interment Beechwood Cemetery, 179 Beechwood Ave., New Rochelle, N.Y.
