Mackenzie was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Scotland, and immigrated to the United States with his wife and son in 1957. He was a former resident of Larchmont, N.Y., and Fort William, Scotland. He spent his professional life with IBM Corporation. He volunteered for many charitable activities through the Benevolent Order of Elks, where he held positions as Grand Exalted Ruler and State Vice President. He also was involved in community activities through his churches, The Larchmont Avenue Church, Larchmont, New York and the Nashua Presbyterian Church in the Woods, Nashua, N.H.
Mackenzie is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, David (Paula), of Westford, Mass. He was predeceased by his son, Peter.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. in the Larchmont Avenue Church, 60 Forest Park Ave., Larchmont. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mackenzie's name may be made to the Larchmont Avenue Church.
