Joseph Savoca, 88, Of Mamaroneck, World War II Veteran

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Joseph Savoca, of Mamaroneck, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4. He was 88.

Born Oct. 4, 1926, to Santo and Virginia Savoca, Joseph served in the U.S. Army during World War II, worked at a warehouse and was a cosmetology teacher for BOCES. He is the beloved husband of the late, Rosemary, who passed away last May. 

Joseph is survived by his cherished sons, Allen J. Savoca (Nina) and David Savoca (Kaylon); dear granddaughters, Michelle Savoca Gross and Dana Savoca; and great-grandchildren, Leila, Matthew and Summer Gross. Joseph is also the brother of Anna Wentworth and the late Ralph Savoca. To honor his life, family and friends will gather on Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 5-9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. A funeral service will held Thursday, Jan. 8. at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
