Breaking News: Nearly 2,000 New Yorkers Hospitalized As Flu Outbreak Spreads

Martin Kantor, 87, Formerly Of Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Martin Kantor, formerly of Mamaroneck and White Plains, died May 28. He was 87.

Kantor was retired from a career in organic and pharmaceutical chemistry, working as a district leader for the Democratic Party, a docent at the Neuberger Museum, and an active member of The Old Guard men's organization.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen. He is survived by his partner, Joann H. Brown; two sons, Kenneth of Berkeley, Calif., and Eric of Ossining; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains.
