Nicholas D. Mastronardi, 75, Of Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Nicholas D. Mastronardi of Mamaroneck died Aug. 18. He was 75.

Mastronardi was born April 6, 1939, in Brooklyn, to Mercedes (de la Camera) and Daniel Mastronardi. He was a graduate of Boston College (1960) and served in the United States Army. He  was a member of the Winged Foot Golf Club for over 40 years and a parishioner of Saints John and Paul Church in Larchmont. He had a distinguished career in the financial services industry for more than 40 years. He was associated with Merrill Lynch for 38 years, last serving as a senior vice president and was responsible for developing some of that firm's most innovative products.

He later served as a managing director of Wilmington Trust Company. He served as president and trustee of the Charles A. Mastronardi Foundation. He served as the economic advisor to the Apostolic Nuncio and permanent observer of the Holy See to the United Nations and chair and honorary chair of the Sharing Hope Celebration Dinners for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. He was a member of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, KGCHS; The American Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, K; the American Society of the Italian Legions of Merit, Cav. Di Gran Croce.

Mastronardi is survived by his wife, Valerie; children, Nicholas Mastronardi (Karen Roberts), Kathryn Mastronardi Davis (Mark Davis), Edward Mastronardi and Valerie Mastronardi; and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Rocco.

Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck NY 10543. 914-698-5968. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at the Church of Sts. John and Paul, 280 Weaver St., Larchmont, NY 10538. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
