Nicholas Maroscia, 98, Mamaroneck WWII Veteran

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Nicholas A. Maroscia of Mamaroneck died July 28 at his home. He was 98.

Born Jan. 26, 1914, in Tavenna, Italy, to Giovanni and Angelina Maroscia, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Maroscia worked as an engineer for Kord Manufacturing Company in Bronx, N.Y., for many years.

He was predeceased by a brother, Antonio; a sister, Italina; and a nephew, John. Maroscia is survived a nephew, Frank (Khristine) Vozza; and a niece, Gabriella (Antonio) Vozza.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
