Regina C. Siano, 91, Mamaroneck Native

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Regina (Dunn) Siano, a lifelong  resident of Mamaroneck, died Sunday, Oct. 18. She was 91.

She was born Dec. 29, 1923, to James and Ellen (Reiling) Dunn. She was the general manager for Betty Lee Foods for 25 years and began a second profession in May 1964 at Brewers Hardware until she retired in 1989.

She is survived by her children, James (Frances) of New Rochelle and Ellen Jean Hargitay of Los Angeles; her grandchildren, Tina West, Mickey Hargitay, Zoltan Hargitay and Mariska Hargitay Hermann, ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Vito Siano, her son-in-law Mickey Hargitay, and siblings Frances Ullrich, Louise Dunn, Marion Yannuzzi, Vivian Scofield, Grace Grosso, Ellen Munter, Patrick Dunn, and John Dunn.

Siano was known as "The Mayor" to her neighbors, as her last profession was giving loving attention to those in need be it family, friends, children or animals.

To honor Siano's life, friends may call on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home, 767 East Boston Post Road. Mamaroneck.

A service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, at Coxe and Graziano, Committal will be private.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are making donations to Harrison Shore Humane Society, 7 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, NY 10528 or Defenders of Wildlife, 1130 17th Street, Washington DC 20036.
