Robert Sowell, 48, Brother Of Larchmont Resident

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Robert Clark Stowell, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, Nov. 19, at Regional Hospice in Danbury. He was 48.

Stowell was born on Dec. 13, 1966, in Bronxville, N.Y., and has previously lived in Pelham, N.Y., and Fairfield, Westport, Milford, and, finally, Bridgeport.

He attended public schools in Pelham and Fairfield before graduating from Staples High School in Westport, and went on to receive a degree in culinary arts from the New York Restaurant School. 

His career in the food service industry included serving as restaurant manager of Silvermine Tavern in Norwalk from 1990 to1997.

Stowell was a lifelong animal lover, and enjoyed astronomy, cooking, reading, traveling, trivia, and, especially, his extended family.

He was survived by his partner, Albert Lake Jr., of Bridgeport; two brothers, Davis Stowell (Celia), of Larchmont, N.Y., and William Stowell (Caroline), of Trumbull; three nieces, Julianne, Alexandra, and Rebecca; and a nephew, William. 

Stowell was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and JoAnne Stowell; a brother, John Stowell; and a nephew, Matthew Stowell.

A celebration of Stowell's life is being scheduled for after the holidays.
