LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Ruth Bondy Lowy of Larchmont died Oct. 29. She was 90.
Lowy was the daughter of Irene and Eugene L. Bondy of New Rochelle. She was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and received her Masters degree from Sarah Lawrence/Bank Street and worked 20 years as a guidance counselor in the Pelham schools. She was a lifelong resident and participant in her community of Larchmont.
Lowy is survived by her children, Donald Lowy (Angela), Susan Darby (Jay), Patricia Lowy (Daniel Frank), Alison Lowy (Peter Dopsch); nine grandchildren; and companion, Walter Levy. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Lowy.
A celebration of her life will be held Nov. 1 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at her home. A memorial will be held in late December.
