MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Ruth E. Kapp (Needham), a lifelong Mamaroneck resident, died Oct. 8. She was 91.
Kapp was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Mamaroneck, to Walter and Hazel Needham. She served as a volunteer for the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years. Kapp is survived by her children, Richard Kapp (Rosanne), Ronald Kapp and Linda Swinscoe (Zack); seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Christopher Kapp; grandson, Timothy; and sisters, Lucille Quadrine and Muriel Hammond.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, NY 914-698-5968. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kapp's memory to either the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary or the Senior Citizen's Center.
