McCarthy was born Oct. 1, 1919. She was a long-time member of St. John's Church of Larchmont and was for many years a member of their Altar Guild. She was an officer and director of the Halfway Houses of Westchester, Inc. for over 20 years.
McCarthy is survived by her son, Richard Beattie; daughter, Evelyn Lewis; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at St. John's Church on 4 Fountain Square in Larchmont.
