MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Sandra Labate, a Mamaroneck resident, died on Friday, Jan. 16. She was 79.
Sandra was born June 9, 1935, to Andres and Isabel (nee Rodriguez) Olivieri in Manhattan. She recently retired from the finance department of Westchester Country Club, where she was held in high esteem.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Labate. They were married July 28, 1956, in Greenwich, Conn., and they shared 52 years together.
Sandra is survived by a sister, Carmen Biangazzo; a brother Armin Olivieri; two sons, Frank Labate Jr. and wife Tatiana of Long Island and Christopher Labate and wife Kimberly of Williamsport, Pa; a daughter, Frankie-Nan Carello of Yonkers; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Catherine, Jourdan, Frank, Samantha, Ian, Dimitra, Christo and Olivia; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, and Gianna.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 23, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home of Coxe & Graziano, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at St. John Lutheran Church, 122 Fenimore Road, Mamaroneck, followed by Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.
