LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Former Longtime Larchmont resident Virginia S. Renz died on Tuesday, Oct. 28. She was 95.
Renz was born in Brooklyn on Nov. 6, 1918 to Walter and Kathleen Wormworth Sommer. When she was 6 years old the family moved to Larchmont, where she attended St. Augustine’s School and later, Mamaroneck High and the College of New Rochelle College.
Renz relocated to Weldon Spring, Mo. in 2006.
Renz was predeceased by her husband, Frederick August Renz, brothers Walter Marlow, Paul and Robert Sommer and son-in-law Dennis Bruschi.
Renz is survived by her six children: Patricia Bruschi, George (Pat) Buck, Frederick (Andrea), Walter (Suzanne) and Adam (Stephanie) Renz and daughter Virginia (Mike) Renz Higgins as well as 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
