Vito Greto, 88, Of Mamaroneck, Owned Harrison Ave.Tailor

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Vito Greto of Mamaroneck died Oct. 27. He was 88.

Greto was born in 1926, in San Vito, Italy, to Vito and Maria Aiello Greto. He came to America in 1949 and joined the army serving in the Korean Conflict. Afterwards he owned and operated Harrison Ave. Tailor from 1955 to 1994. He was a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club of Harrison.

Greto is survived by his wife, Adelaide "Dely" (nee Ziffer); children, Vittorio, Mary Greto Brunner (David) and Elena Leydon (Kevin); and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at St. Vito's R.C.Church followed by entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
