LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Former Larchmont resident and a Connecticut special education teacher Wendy Hulme died on Thursday, Nov. 6. She was 49.
Hulme was born in New York City and lived her young childhood in Larchmont before moving to Brookfield, Conn., and graduating from high school there.
Hulme earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and her master's degree from SUNY Binghamton. She worked for several school districts throughout Connecticut as a special education teacher.
Hulme was a daughter of Donald Hulme and Eileen Clarke, step-daughter of Carolyn Finch Hulme, mother of Nicholas Hulme, sister of Allison E. Messier and Elizabeth Capuano and step-sister of Martha Ferrante and David Finch.
She was an aunt tof Jacob, Alexandra, Ian and Jasper Pedroza as well as George (Geo) H. Messier, III, and Valerie, Aidan and Alec Ferrante. She was a niece of Derrick and Eleanor Hulme and cousin of Dr. Derrick (Sandy) and Robin Hulme.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South in Southbury, Conn., from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
