MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Two marine vessel accidents were reported Thursday at Harbor Island Park, said Village of Mamaroneck police.
The first accident occurred at 9 a.m., when a vessel sank at the East Basin dock. The harbormaster and Sea Tow were on the scene. Sea Tow raised the vessel and pumped out the remaining water.
The second accident occurred at 4:20 p.m., when a sailboat crossed over a mooring and wrapped the mooring rope around its propeller. The sailboat then drifted into another moored sailboat, but no damage was done to the second boat.
